I'd like a CQB site closer to home too. Living in Chester, it's not so much of a pain as Manchester's not too far away, but I think Chris @ A55 should be made to add some buildings to his site, as that's my closest. When's his birthday? I'll wrap some cinder blocks up for him wink.gif

Hi, there was a suggestion of putting up a tented village for CQB (i.e. using old army tents). Don't know if that would fit the bill or would be pracical but it is felxible and fits lots of scenarios. My favourite would be a big milsim day with a mixed mission to a 'village' and back. A bit 'Nam I think. Would have FIBUV (thats fighting in built up villages) and possibly MOT (i.e. made of tents lol smile.gif).

The correct military term is FIST. Fighting in someone's tent happy.gif

What about a farmers shed, 40 feet wide by 200 feet long?

That's a big shed. Is it broken up into roomlets?

Not as such, its been divided poorly into 3, theres a fair bit of crap in there which could be burnt or sold for scrap. The structure is sound but it needs a hole patching in the roof and some recladding down one side. This could be easily done with corrugated sheeting.

How about some shipping containers? These are quite cheap now and could be added to Alpha quite easily! Windows could be cut out and partitions could be built inside if needed.

However for the ultimate, how about taking over that housing estate that's been abandoned due to the A494 failed expansion - just up the road from Asda Queensferry! If only eh.....

I going up for a site visit this weekend take some measurements, pics, and details of this shed. There are a couple of outhouses attached to the main building that would serve as safezone, canteen and toilet leaving the main shed as the game area. What would make a good game area? box it off into office/home style rooms with a open area in the center, or have it all leading up from safezone start point to an end destination/bunker? Will be going down the whatevers lying around route for the time being.
Will keep you updated on how it turns out.

36 foot wide by a long 120 feet, very poor condition with leaky abestos roof, a lot of mess and dogpoop as well, would take about a day and a bonfire to turn it into something skirmishable, theres a fair bit of stuff for barricades etc however with the dodgy roof and overall bad condition its not viable for sectioning and putting some real time/money to it, didnt have enough heads for a game unfortunately
1st partition

Anyone up for a brush? and perhaps a private game or two?

I'd would have to put in my two cents and say, that this is more then a worthwhile cause. We need, no DESERVE a cracking CQB enviroment, and this could only be the start!

Those rooms look good for small teams battles too, plently of pistols at dawn chances too.

I would definately like to see the chance of that place being bombarded by airsofters with their smokes n' flashpots at the ready!

Cleared 1st and middle sections today, so knackered at the end that we only had a couple of games, and filming was minimal when everyones game on. Managed to get some though.

Been up and had a few days gaming now. Electric now on and lights on (or off) throughouth the site, had a couple of night games, the noises and the silences are so nerve wracking. Firefights tend to be quick and hard on full auto, slower and more methodical on semi. Got a shielded safezone setup with counter in one corner. A office built midway, has a doorway, escape hatch and gun slits. Theres also a snipers perch built up on the rafters somewhere, and its wicked dark and hard to see if theres anyone up there, get some hits from up there guranteed. Wireless CCTV system just ordered and well have some portable TVs at the safezone to view the action as its happening in game without any inteference. Or just for me to watch as Im usually first one dead wink.gif
No pics and video at the moment, Its been too dark and not one clip has been worth saving unfortunately. Ill make a effort on the weekend.

This is the type of thing Ive ordered, the camera can be setup anywhere on site, anyone got some ideas on how to protect it?
